The Schneider production sites have certified Environmental Management Systems in accordance with the EU Eco Audit Regulation (EMAS II). This governmentally privileged certification is based on a legal regulation of the European Union. This regulation is far more strict than private sector standards such as DIN ISO 14001. Based on the EMAS validation, Schneider is certified with DIN ISO 14001 as well, because this is one part of EMAS.

EMAS commits to new ecological goals continuously and their fulfillment is audited by independent inspectors. EMAS also requires the public announcement of environmentally relevant company activities in form of an environmental declaration. The EMAS seal of quality and the repeated validation fill us with pride, it substantiates the responsibility of our actions. At the same time it is a constant reminder not to slacken our efforts and to do everything in our power to make this world worth living for future generations. Our responsibility. Being aware of nature as the basic source of our existence and the protection of nature are a question of attitude. Both for the entire company as well as for each employee. Consistent environmentally optimized manufacturing processes reduce our requirements for oils, solvents and cleaning agents year by year and lead to a continuous reduction in waste. Schneider is consistent in its use of regenerative energy sources and electricity, which is 100% hydrogen powered. This avoids CO2 emissions of approx. 1,800 tons per annum. A definitive relief for the environment! And by employing modern thermal recovery plants, a large portion of the thermal waste generated during production can be used for heating purposes, which significantly improves our overall energy balance. In addition we generate roughly 22,000 kWh of electrical energy per annum from our photo-voltaic plant.

The plastic sprue produced during injection molding is fed back into the production process via a material return system and thus recycled completely, and so are excess product components. That saves valuable resources and preserves our environment!

In production and packaging Schneider have dispensed with using PVC completely. Highly purified and environmentally neutral materials such as PET and PP are used as alternatives. You and the environment can both relax!
